(Optional) Step 6 - Wings

Placement - For an open wing the two places it should connect are at the "start" & "end" X's. For a folded wing the place it should connect is on the "at rest" X.

When open the feathers tend to spread out more. Remember ther are 3 feathers first, then the 4 on the end. This wing is a bit bigger to show the feathers. make yours a bit smaller than these.

When closed it hugs the body. Remember the feather count.

Step 7 - Hair/Mane

The mane. One of the most important parts of making your pony. In most cases its the defining difference between your pony and another.
Have fun with it! Make sure the mane matches the personality of your pony.
HE/she could be like Pinkie and have crazy curls, or like Rarity, smooth & intricate.
Try looking at ponys in the background of the show, or even other shows!

Step 8 - Tails
Just like the mane, the tail can define you pony. It's always a good idea to make the tail & mane match. Remember placement of the tail is critical. Having a cutie mark can sometimes help decide proper placement of the tail.
